Focaccia Bread in the Bread Machine

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup lukewarm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons chopped garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoon rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

For topping:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • sprinkle of kosher salt

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees (200 degrees C).

  2. Place water, 2 tablespoons olive oil, salt, garlic, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, rosemary, bread flour and yeast into the pan of the bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select the dough cycle: press start.

03281715233. Remove dough from bread machine when cycle is complete. Pat dough into 9×13 baking pan that has been either coated with olive oil or cooking spray. Brush with remaining olive oil and sprinkle with cheese and kosher salt. (Or add other toppings like olives and sun dried tomatoes)

4. Bake in preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool 5 minutes before serving.

Options: You can substitute 2 cups all-purpose flour and 1 cup whole wheat flour for the 3 cups bread flour.
